Gym, Facebook, my green beast and a wedding

This week is the first week back in the gym, and so far so good, although I have only completed two days of training only! Monday we started off with legs, because this is an area which usually gets neglected we thought this year we will place it first on the list.

Our first week of training we will take things very easy, and we did so especially on the legs, as it is not very comfortable walking with aching leg muscles. Yesterday evening we did chest which went well, once again taking it easy.
Usually after two days of training legs for the first time in a while I usually start getting pain, which is the case today… I am battling a bit to walk, but come weekend I should be fine.

So anyway, I am glad I am back in training and will be giving it my all this year…

Just a thought as well, it is amazing at how many people I have met on face book, interesting individuals, it is just a reminder of how many people are out there and how lives cross paths and people come and go etc… I love reading peoples status updates and some days you wonder if there is something in the water, because all status updates seem really whack.

The more I have been driving my green beast the more I enjoy it. Although it is really old, as stated before it is one of the very first Datsun bakkies, it still goes very well. I have been made offers twice in traffic for the car as it is a collectable, however, I do look forward to getting the sponsored vehicle and all the luxuries back. I am pondering on not to sell or to sell the green beast though, will see when the time comes.

I am looking forward to my Aunts wedding at the end of the month, I get to see the family and my little sister and baby bro! I will be flying out to St. Francis bay for the wedding and I am sure it is going to be a beautiful affair.

So for this week the one thing I wanted to do is get back into the gym, so I can now tick that off my list… Now it is to maintain : -)

I am going to try and do another video this time with my green beast and upload it…

On top of things?

The first week back at work has not been too bad, when chatting to some of my clients some are still on leave until next week, and some even till the 18th! Good for you guys. But I am feeling a little content that I got back into the swing of things early this year and have a slight feeling of being on top of things.

I feel that this holiday which has passed was spent well, most of it resting and just having a good time. I won’t lie, after new years I was properly spent, but I regained my energy and strength to start off the year at work on the right foot.

I unfortunately did not get to see my family over the Christmas period, although they were on my mind. This is the second Christmas spent away from them and I am going to make a point of it this year to spend Christmas with them.
I have a new baby brother who is not even a year old and I have only seen him twice! My sister who celebrated her birthday a day before mine, on the 15th of December is growing up so fast, and I am not really there for her, and this year I would like to be there, if not physically, at least in some form…

I have also thought back to my ‘old’ friends, and have been wondering what has happened to them all? I hardly ever hear from them, not because I lost contact, or they lost contact, but because people eventually go their own ways, but yeah, I wondered about where they are and what they are up to. I look forward to my 10 year school reunion. : -)

I start training on Monday again, I am going to be training harder than ever as I have set myself new goals.

I also have a few new year’s resolutions which I am keeping to myself this year, at first I did not want to make any, as I always break them, but this year I am just not telling anyone.

Hope you all have had good weeks, there are quite a few more ahead of us in 2010!

A relaxed December and a happy new year!

Firstly I would like to say Happy new years to everyone and I really hope that this year is a good one for every one. I have a very positive feeling about this one and believe that it will be a good year.

My holiday only really started a day before my 22nd birthday which was on the 16th of December. I did not plan on doing anything big and just wanted to go out for a couple of drinks and ended up meeting up with a few friends, headed to Traxx nightclub and partied into the evening : -)

For most of the holiday we mainly just relaxed, watched DVD’s and spent time on the beach. It was what I needed after last year!

My insurance finally paid out and I was able to buy my car, I have bought a little Datsun bakkie to sustain me till mid Feb. It is the cutest thing, it is lime green and still has the wing mirrors on the bonnet. I should be getting a sponsored vehicle mid Feb so I did not want to buy a brand new car now and then end up losing money on it or paying installments I do not need to pay now. The rest of my insurance money went to paying off my student loan!

The Durban weather has been very funny lately, we did not have too many days of sun, but I have a feeling that January and February are going to be really hot months!

Christmas eve we spent at home, I made dinner and we got some DVD’s and just chillaxed… The following day I spent time with a mate and his dad, we braaied and had a couple of drinks and took it easy.

Our new years party was one to remember! Jared begged Traxx nightclub to bring out Carl Nicholsen to South Africa and so they did. He has been staying with us since his arrival and leaves to go back to London on the 5th. His set on New year’s eve was out of this world! Definitely the best out of the internationals which have played at Traxx this far! I look forward to him coming out again and hopefully soon! The highlight of that night was his song “Pearl River”! I got goose bumps!

This year is going to be a good one, I have a few shoots coming up soon and am planning on taking part in a few competitions, will see what happens. I want to crack the television industry, that is where I want to be, so lets see what happens hey…

All the best guys!
