Tyrone Nell & SIX Skincare Sponsorship

My SIX Skincare product arrived about two weeks ago, needless to say, I started using the product straight away! I could not wait for the official announcement of the sponsorship to be made!

And without sounding cheesy, I have to say that I have enjoyed using the product. Initially I was told off for using over the counter, retail product but I most definitely understand what they were trying to tell me now.

The first 'Get Fit Challenge' Video

Ty's Get Fit Challenge

I have been challenging myself at the gym to get more fit with the help of my gym buddy, Nic. Not just 'look' fit or 'body' fit, but physically fit as well!

My friends know that I battle to climb a set of stairs without heaving and puffing and that I run out of breath really quickly when having to walk faster or run. Well, that is going to come to an end.

So far I am pretty proud of myself, as I never use to do cardio at all!

We have been starting our gym sessions with a warm up run on the treadmill... (I did not even know how to use the treadmill!) I started on a 5 minute run the first time, I nearly died! Then went up to 6 minutes then 7 minutes etc. The plan is to get to a point where I am running at a good pace for about 15 to 20 minutes.

I do my usual weight training after the warm up on the treadmill and then proceed to doing some core exercises with a twist. It makes for an interesting end to a gym session and something that I actually look forward to!

Pearly Beach Weekend Away!

When I first heard of Pearly Beach there were two images that came to mind, naturally a beach with washed up pearls and secondly, well... Let's just say my mind when a little off track... :0)

Pearly beach, located about 2 and a half hours from Cape Town, just past Hermanus is a beautiful little town or settlement with not a lot going on, especially out of season. It was however the chosen destination of choice for a little weekend getaway with a few friends with the objective of getting out of the city and to become one with nature and ourselves… Okay, not really, it really was just meant for a chilled weekend getaway out of town.

The ups: Lots of laughs, smiles and amazing energy with stories being shared over an evening flame mixed with fresh air, long walks on the beach, adopting a dog for the weekend and an outside shower.

The downs: None, except sitting in traffic on the way home for about 2 hours due to a very bad head on collision that killed everyone involved (Sorry to put a damper on the story).

Takeaways: Down-time, Me-time, Family & time with friends makes life beautiful!
