UCT Rag Fashion Show Featuring Craig Port

This past weekend I had the great honour of walking in the UCT Rag Fashion Show for 2014 in aid of raising funds and awareness for the SHAWCO charity.

Set on the Jameson stairs with the Jameson Hall lit up as the back drop made the show one of the most beautiful shows that I have walked in, especially given that the view while walking down the stairs was just as beautiful as the view that the guests had!

Here are some pics from the show!

Family Time

Part of the reason why I moved to Cape Town, South Africa was to be closer to my family. My brother and sister are growing up fast, Jessame is 14 and Waldo is 4. It is great to actually be able to be more part of their growing up as a big brother! And ummm... Mom will probably hate me for saying this, but she is nearing her 50s, so having her close by is a blessing!

At the moment they live in Struisbaai, about a 2 and a half hour drive from Cape Town, but will soon be moving to Cape Town! Makes me super happy! :0)

Here are some pics that I recently took while spending time with them.

I Love My City: Cape Town City Carnival 2014

This passed weekend saw the Cape Town City Carnival 2014 take place, and like literally on my ‘new’ doorstep.

As most of you know, I relocated to Cape Town from Johannesburg last year. At first I did not have a place to move into as everything happened so soon. I was supposed to move into a place located in Greenpoint in December, but because of renovations I had to hold out and wait.

Eventually I moved in at the beginning of March and am absolutely loving the Cape Town City vibe, the area, the people, restaurants and shops.

The Cape Town City Carnival just reinforced that feeling with high spirits and festivities all round. The floats rocked and the carnival had a true Mardi Gras feel to it. And even though the road closures were a bit of a pain earlier in the afternoon before it all started, I still did not mind as the joy and euphoric atmosphere made up for it.

The weekend prior to the Carnival taking place we had the Argus happen, and it was great to be able to walk down to the main event, in like literally 1 minute and join mates and watch the cyclists finish the race.

All in all, I am more than 100% happy with my decision to move into the new place and the location and am most definitely not looking back.

Below I thought I would post a few images taken from the Carnival courtesy of News24.com (My favorite is the Protea flower float).

Time for a Vlog...

So this morning I put it out there that I am going to start a Vlog. I had one years ago while I was still living in Durban, and it did pretty well. Sadly I stopped and took the videos down.

I have a few ideas about what I would do and how I would do it. But would love to know from you guys what you think and what would get you watching.

Now I know sex sells, but unfortunately YouTube won't allow X-Rated content. (Just Saying) haha!

If you keen to join my YouTube channel in the meantime, then please do:

The Un-cropped Tyrone Nell Images Shot In Cape Town

Hey guys!

As promised, here are the 'un-cropped' images that I said I would share from the shoot I did for the Craig Port Summer campaign in Cape Town with photographer, Byron Keulemans.

As said before, this shoot was a fun shoot, and for myself I kinda pushed boundaries a little. Let me know what you think ;0)
