Cropped Up Images

A different take on some of the images I already have!

Let me know what you think ;)

Ending Feb On A High Note | Nivea

Aaaah, and the weekend has finally arrived! Today also marks my last day at the company that I work for in Cape Town.

I start my new journey at a smaller ad agency as a digital strategist on Tuesday, and I have to admit that as sad as it is saying good bye to the great people I have worked with here, I am looking forward to the new challenge and ventures that await me.

Anyhow, I am ending off February on a high note and will be on set shooting for Nivea tomorrow in Cape Town. The season has been great to me this year in Cape Town, and if it is anything to go by, then the rest of the year is just going to be amazing! So looking very forward to the opportunities that may come.

Wishing you all the best for the weekend!

Love Ty

The Kid Inside You | The Goodness

I love surrounding myself with good people, who have similar values to me and similar outlooks on life, but I also enjoy surrounding myself with people who are different, you learn so much.

I have no one specific type of friend, and generally when I invite a group of people out it turns out to be a mix match of all different types of characters, love it!

I think having to move from one city to the next and change schools every year while growing up has also had an effect on how I make friends. Trust is one issue that I deal with, I would like to be able to trust everyone easily, but find it hard, I see it as a downfall, but at the same time as a good thing. I also never just have one group of friends, which is enjoyable and enriching, being able to get along with everyone from all different walks of life.

This morning after gym I took a walk on the promenade in Cape Town, and I have to admit it was probably one of the most relaxed mornings that I have had this year. I even took the time out to hit the swings. My mate Luke took the stroll with me and innitially I said to him, geez! I am too old for swings! His response, that is exactly the problem, your never too old for swings! We tend to loose touch of the kid inside us, our lives become so demanding that we forget to just be us and have fun.

Anyway, I hit the swings and even stood up and EVEN did that thing where you twist the swing and then spin around till it unwinds. For a moment my mind was clear, I wasn't worrying of all the things I needed to get to or what the next week holds for me, and quite honestly, it was a relief.

Take some time out to get in touch with that inner kid again, trust me! It helps!

Life's Challenges | Positivity

"Life is too short to be sad or have negative thoughts, we only have a few hours a day and should make every second count." - A good mate of mine said to me recently over the phone in an attempt to lift my spirits through a challenging time.

Although I know this, sometimes it is difficult to actually live by. No one can really ever be prepared for what life throws us, and it doesn't really matter if we like it or not, we still have to face those curveballs and challenges. So what I have decided to do is just smile through them all and try not to take them all that seriously, in the end, why waste time being sad, rather use the time to learn from the challenge and propel yourself forward.

Anyway, just a thought that has been on my mind...

I have not really blogged in a while, the new year has been great, challenging, but great. Funny, this time round I am facing challenges that I have been through before, just slightly different circumstances. This time round though I kind of know how it will all play out, and I know that I will be okay in the end, quite a comforting thought.

I hope everyone else is enjoying the new year and taking it easy. Life is to be enjoyed, it is the only one we have. But always be safe, be true to yourself and stick to what your values.

Thought I would also share some pics from the last while :0)
